Post 5, My important photograph

This is my beloved picture, one of the most important in my life. In there, It appears my grandpa Enrique Sanchez (RIP). It's the last picture I take it from him during the most important summer of my life.
It was 2 years ago when my grandfather came to Santiago to take some test in the Hospital because he suffered of diabetes (he died of cancer a year and a half later). He spends 3 weeks in my house and I take care of him. We talked for days about politics, history, national problems, and food, whatever.
Well, focus on the picture, that day starts the dialogue between Cuba and USA, an important event to the world and my grandfather. We spoke for hours and I never imagined that moment would be the last that I had a fluid conversation with him, nevertheless, I don´t regret anything of that moment. I always feel that Enrique was also a friend to me and that we share a lot of good experience, even though we he was a stubborn person. So, we can say we all remembered him as a difficult person, but at the same time we love that part of him.

Post IV - Why i'm going to vote

In these upcoming elections i'm going to vote. Why? Because it is necesary. I'm a believer that democracy starts in the communitys, in the daily organization of people around their daliy problems. From there we can advance to more complex problems like the lifes in our work or schools, everything with the objective to ensure our social rights. Today all of this process crash with a wall makes of laws and a constitution inherited from the dictatorship that blocks our rights and organization. We have to break this wall with more radical movements in the streets and organization, but we can't allow that the people who take our rights from us keep their position in the government and keep the power only for a minority. This municipal election can be a beginning to this. Our vote have to respond to people's voice and social movement, so a candidate is someone who is consistent with his community and the social movements where he or she "born". A Mayor has the attribution to influence in development of local power; A Mayor could be a support to the local organization in stead of a wall.
I have to clear that never a electoralist strategy is better than people's organization.

An example of what i'm saying: Ukamau is an organization that choose go to election after years of work and achievements in Estación Central
