Post 7- A person who I admire

I'll talk about a Chilean woman in our field (Social Cience) that I admire and I think We all have to admire her, She deserve it. Her name is Marta Harnecker.

Marta Harnecker isn't a sociologist; She is a psychologist, journalist and a political scientist. She was born in Chile and later she won a a grant to study in France in charge of Louis Althusser, a famous marxist philosopher. Since her youth She showed interest in the labour movement and thanks to her work She achieved the post of adviser in the Socialist Cuba. She achieved a similar post helping Hugo Chavez and the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

In spite of being a woman (something difficult in our world) she accomplished a lot of publications about international politics, analysis about some the situations of some countries, the reconstruction of historical materialism, about the concept of society and many other topics. To sum up, she rethinks, from "actual" theories, how we view our actual society and how we can advance in the construction of a path to change it.

She has contributed to how we can see the world in the XXI century from the Left get over many barriers like dictatorships, being a woman in a sexist world and her own religion. She is a heroine.

A strong woman
